« We are delighted to inform you that we are now accepting applications for the Young Women Enabling Transformation Programme for 2020. The Programme will be held 1st to 31st July in Kingston, Jamaica.
The Young Women Enabling Transformation Programme is a CWM initiative that aims to provide capacity building training for young women, aged 24-30 years old, in doing critical and creative resistance towards patriarchy as well as contribute towards constructive alternatives. Recognizing the lacuna of young women within our ecclesial structures, this Programme is specifically directed towards the building of a collective of young feminist women in our churches.
Through this Programme, the women participants will be able to have a safe and secure space to articulate their oppressions and aspirations; will be provided with the tools of social analysis that would enable them to critically discern the structures of patriarchy and creatively seek alternatives in church and society; and will be offered with the necessary Biblical and theological skills required to transform the patriarchy in our churches”.
